AI can be faster, have more processing power, it doesn't need rest, but I'm not so sure about smarter. Humans have an ability for abstraction that hasn't been completely explained yet, so it's difficult to really say conclusively that AI will exceed us fundamentally when we don't actually know where that bar is.
I'm reminded of the search for the smallest elements in existence, and how we found that hole just keeps on going, to the point where we straight up lack the physical ability to fully understand what's happening there. The history of science has been a continual series of revelations that we don't know nearly as much about the natural world as we thought we did.
