The parents are not denying this medical treatment, so they are not nut-jobs who refuse treatment and abusing their child - they are only demanding a better blood product - for the safety of their child. And given that this illness involves the heart, and given that people are keeling over from myo-and pericarditis after a jab, one can totally understand their concern.
The problem, as identified by others, is not the parents, but the precedent a favorable ruling will set. Allowing them the privilege of taking advantage of a generous donation from a pureblood will open Pandora's box. What? The jab causes heart issues? The government cannot allow this.
