Aw, who cares.....They're French. Porbably just discovered electricity around 2000 and finally put a few electrical cords in place. Someone tripped over said electrical cord and accidentally pulled the plug. No need to go all MadMaxx. They will get over it pretty quickly, or at least burn some wood in their wood stoves and live like they did in the 1800's.
