Truly, I believe this is the basis of virtually every "conspiracy theory". We have an abysmal education system, especially in the hard sciences. Instead of teaching children how to think logically and develop reasoning skills, we rely on rote memorization.

We don't teach children to learn or think. We teach them to memorize. And once they're out of an academic setting, and without guidance, we put practically all the information in existence at their fingertips and say "Go get 'em, Tiger!".

And TADAAA,!, it's the reason why we have the saying "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing".
