We have some here who periodically caterwaul about reading anything from FNM, but fortunately they're few and far between. I hold my nose and wade into that cesspool from time to time to take the pulse of what the beast system is feeding the sheep and to get a feel for their strategy and tactics. I've found over time the blood pressure spikes (from the infuriating lies and vitriol) have abated to a large degree. When leftists have sent me articles I read them, send them back an article refuting the claims made and, 9 out of 10 times they won't read them. The only one topic I got traction on was the drug price game and the lefty was stunned.
Refusing to read information from a friend who is trying to warn you that there are dangers from an experimental drug you're looking to inject into your body is the result of a whole other level of brainwashing. I've often thought that the statement about having to be shown (vs just told) applies to us as well because up until a few years ago I never would have believed that my leftist friends were this far gone.
Regarding your comment on power, I wrote this in a recent post comment - "I was musing on this topic recently. At least for the leftists I know who are steadfastly holding onto their warped notions that the Potatus and his leftist minions aren't destroying the country, it's as if the inept, undeserving want their turn steering the vehicle no matter what. They're not capable of producing anything but destruction, but will never admit it because pretending they're not driving the country off the edge of the proverbial cliff is better, in their minds, than having competent people running things while they take a back seat."
The mask Nazis are particularly ironic. The FNM "empowered" the sheep to feel they owned the moral high ground, that only jab-adopters and mask-adopters are virtuous, that they're the only truly caring individuals, yadda, yadda. Forget the fact that the genocidal gnome Fauci actually stated years ago that masks are detrimental or that others who have researched stated that they're detrimental or that it even says that they do not stop viruses right on the box. (Then, of course there was the 2020 "masks aren't useful", "masks are necessary", "you need two masks", "three masks are better", "screaming, violent BLM rioters don't need masks because scyence" dance from the genocidal gnome and, still, nothing sunk in to the sheep brains to jolt them).

I'm going to have to read Rand's essay you referenced. Thank you for bringing it up. It's always interesting seeing this struggle was happening generations (and centuries and millennia) ago, delving into the current tactics the beasts are employing. In a sense it can give one hope that decent people the world over and through the ages, with far less formidable tools than we have now, have been able to overcome the beasts. While I realize that not all patriots have faith, personally I attribute all good things including these tools to the Lord as blessings from Him. The printing press was one such tool, the internet (and various social media) is a current tool. It's no small wonder the beasts spared no expense monopolizing the social media functions and censoring out the sane voices.
