It is only a few counties outside of Cook County that is liberal and democrat. You'll notice that it is almost always areas that have big cities that ooze democrat leanings. Why is this? It use to be because of manufacturing and the strong support for unions. However, this isn't the case anymore. It's welfare that carries the vast amount of support for democrats today, along with widespread voter fraud. As long as the welfare payments keep solvent, democrat support is safe. However, they are playing with fire bringing millions of illegals into the system for votes. It is estimated that some 70% of the immigrants coming into America today are on welfare. Even the traditional poor and inner city welfare recipients feel the threat to their subsidies. When the welfare payments become overwhelmed, the government system will collapse.
