There needs to be more transparency in policing. I'm not talking about keeping the details of murder evidence under wraps, I'm talking about when they err.
Police departments should not be investigating themselves.
It should not take 7 years and several hundred thousand dollars for parents to find out the details of the circumstances of their son's death at the hands of the police. The son was under the influence of (addicted to) prescription drugs at the time. Had never been in trouble and had a promising future until a high school sports injury, then it all went downhill. This happened in Utah.
FWIW, our country sheriff is pretty worthless. And the Libtards of Utah view Constitutional Sheriffs as "tyrants."
