Sad to hear that...some babies die in their last week (know someone) and some die during birth...that is why it is important to have hospital/doctor backup so they can transfer if necessary. You're right...shit happens either way...I had a grandson that came out pretty dark and had to be revived by a special team in the hospital after his shoulder got stuck and he had to manually have his shoulder unstuck by the doctor...his umbilical was compressed. What a mess...every healthy birth is a miracle no matter what.
