The swim coach from the opposing team didn't say anything until after the relay race, probably swum at the end of the meet. Then he asked the referees to measure the size of the flag... (it was too big) and it disqualified the kid who swam probably from the entire meet. It disqualified the kid with the flag cap (and all his previous races) but also any relay that he swam in. The points lost from this kid's disqualification at the end of the meet probably cost the kid's swim team the match.

The swim coach didn't say anything until after the relay race and asked the referees to measure the size of the flag... (it was too big) and it disqualified the kid who swam in that relay. It disqualified not only the kid (and all his previous races) but also the relay which would have allowed his team to win the match
