I say this as someone who honestly prefers pop to rock and other more "serious" music genres

That is all mainstream music. Chubby Checker, Scorpions, Florida Georgia Line, Lana Del Rey etc doesn't matter what era or kind of music it is, mainstream music will always be intellectually devoid.

That is why I listen to foreign music exclusively these days
