So what does he propose? Get rid of the white people? Or maybe encourage more colored people and waamen to work in construction? LOL good luck.

Construction is rightfully seen as dirty, dangerous and difficult. Hence not many women. And yes, I have witnessed women in the construction industry - one of them was injured very badly, because she was not aware that ceiling panels can fall on one's head, and was not wearing a hardhat, but I digress.

People who work in it, from experience, are from Irish, Scottish and in large projects, e.g. dams or oilrigs, Dutch descent. I have noticed this from doing a research project, by looking at the names. There was only the occasional Indian or Chinese person claiming to be a qualified tradesman. Of course there are some who have a Scottish name, and are kind of brown, but still.

Getting rid of those, would be criminal, and would lead to a collapse of a fragile industry, prone to booms and busts - those people are there, because they know construction and are hardy. Governments have tried for decades to get colored people on board, because muh building booms and housing shortages, only to find that the newcomers cannot even make it past being a laborer, and splitting as soon as they can, for something a bit easier, like serving coffee or cleaning.

Any building project, be it a house or a dam, takes determination and intelligence because construction is only becoming more complicated - new materials and building laws, and that also requires literacy.

Bootygig's racist slip is showing. I recently noticed this governmental racism towards white men working in Building Control (Inspectors) too. (Another research project). They were described as 'old white men who have come off the tools' - as if no qualifications are required for that job.
