I thought I was pretty awake.

Journey (roughly summarized):

1960s and 1970s Vague awareness of future dystopia implied by developing technology and explicitly described by science reporters and fiction writers. Too far in the future to make real-life, here-and-now sense of it. My life becomes the business of preparing for independent survival, with no ability to perceive the transparent limits of the aquarium I so busily swam circles inside of.

1980s Awareness of impending dystopia from dawning technologies that can do more harm than human wisdom can manage: gene modification,  biotechnology, atom splitting and fusing, AI...

1990s Deluded hope for the future because of consumer-level advances in global communications and a widespread "human potential" trend, along with initial cracks in my belief that people like me had influence of some sort over something we all called "government" and that its controllers had consciences and rational thoughts about governing.

2000s 9/11 collapses a lot of what until then I didn't know had been naive blind faith ... and takes me to a level of a bit more awareness that I didn't yet know was shallow.

2010s Finally confronting and seeking escape from economic, social, political abuses. Discovery of ubiquitous tyranny by blackmail and torture; weaponization of everything; incomprehensibly hellish crimes by criminals in syndicates disguised as everyday people and businesses.

Reading but not processing, understanding, or remembering statements - by TrustTheTruth on Voat and here - about these criminals' plan and ability not just to physically enslave every survivor but also to take control of all humans' souls. Something still too outside the development of my perception system to perceive.

2020s Discovery (link below) of prestigious scientist Robert Duncan's description of his work on nanotechnology that gives him and who-knows-who the ability to control humans' souls.

Mr. Duncan seems as lovable and innocent as Kris Kringle, The Tin Man, and the Pillsbury Dough Boy. About his work and inventions, he expresses a bit of regret. Something in the direction of a conscience and empathy. Something like concern for the monstrous, nightmarish, disastrous hell he and his colleagues have bombed every earthly life form with. Seems like he'd listen and maybe try to effectively respond to requests that he lead the way in doing what needs to be done to reverse course.

My eternally unshakeable faith in good ... my precious unharmed soul ... is telling me... the solution to the nightmare Mr. Duncan calmly describes might be found in the science of the technology that appears to be about to soak us in its problems. Maybe the solution will be found in a principle that's like, or even is, the phenomenon of "phase," in which sound or color frequencies are disappeared by exactly identical but precisely inverted frequencies. Or by other principles of the science of this technology, or entirely different ones.

But someone, somewhere will use science and technology to preserve and fully restore every pulsing particle of nature's perfection and limitless wisdom.

Around 1967, when I was about ten years old, I spent my allowance for doing household chores on a poster of "fluorescent" letters on a black background, and taped it to the wall beside my bed. It said:

" Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides, and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love. And then, for the second time in the history of the world, we shall have discovered fire. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin "

Outside the transparent limits of the aware-ium we're swimming around in is greater human consciousness.  Consciousness has already permanently shifted.

So now we call on scientists to awaken and join us in the divine will to let earth be the heaven it has always been.
