Russia is a shit hole home of communism

Hmm. Since Stalin's purges after WW2 at the beginning of the Cold War, the Soviets proceeded to build infrastructure for the people - complete with bomb shelters underneath - , and offered free healthcare, so, for example, the victims of Chernobyl received new homes elsewhere at no cost, and have free healthcare for life (compare that with Flint or Palestine residents in the USA, who are offered $5, provided they sign a waiver). Yes there was corruption in Russia (oligarchs), but show me a country that is blameless in this respect (cough, ahem Soros).

Meanwhile, in the West, the rotten side of communism was installed in a clandestine fashion via destabilizing organizations, like Black Panthers or more recently BLM, but also by infiltrating political parties, just as McCarthy predicted. We got all the bad bits of communism, and none of the good ones - a slow moving revolution, without any idea what is to replace civilization when it falls.

The Soviets woke up to Stalin's destructive policies and started governing their vast country, while the West kept the image of the Gulags and the evils of a secret police in their heads - hence the smearing of communism. Even Krushchev, who is roundly despised, was adult enough to negotiate with Kennedy and talk down a nuclear war. I know there are those that say that communism was never 'done right' and people like that are hilarious. I argue that the Soviets moved away from the 'communism' that the West carries in their heads, and were doing a whole lotta things right, for example they did not outsource their military industrial complex to private hands, thereby keeping their new toys cost effective. (cough ... F35, Gerald Ford aircraft carrier - so expensive and actually useless).

Now, the Russians, and even the card-carrying communists among them, are 'hard right' compared to what is going on in the West. Russian communism is no longer left-wing, like we were told at school, and they weren't even in the 1960s. Witness Gonzalo - who firmly states he is hard right. Meanwhile, in the West, we are unhappily barreling towards Fascism with 'New Public Management' or neoliberlaism as it likes to label itself, that was started up by the likes of Thatcher, while letting 'communist' (actually anarchist) BLM and Antifa ride roughshod over everything. Hey, at least it's 'centrist' by allowing both systems to co-exist and at least it ain't the figment 'communism'.
