During a hike in the Sipsey Wilderness (in Alabama) in August of 2012 I was not only bitten by a tick, which gave me Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, but stood in the wrong place while catching my breath and got hundreds of chigger bites on my lower legs, which became seriously infected. The Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever settled in my ankles which remain discolored to this day. After both issues had been controlled with antibiotics, my legs became constantly swollen. The internal medicine doctor told me there was no cure for that condition and my only option was to wear compression hose for the rest of my life. In December of 2020 (after wearing compression hose for many years) I took my first dose of Ivermectin after learning about it watching the Ron Johnson hearing with Dr. Pierre Kory. I noticed improvement, so continued taking Ivermectin once a month. By April 2021, the swelling had vanished never to return. I can only suspect parasites/parasite eggs from those chigger and/or tick bites remained at the site of the swelling ensuring an ongoing problem. If the Dr. knew about Ivermectin (he should have) shame on him. If he did not know, shame on him. Haven't been back.
