Sad to hear. I recall my wife and I discussed this too. I had ample studies I gave her and it caused her to become aware, but not moved. When I provide the biblical proof that it is not a Christian teaching and it was not practiced in the 2000 years of Christianity until only the 20th century in America, that became the key influencing factor to her to agree with me not to circumcise our children. The circumcision adopted in the US was not the same circumcision of the Old Testament by any measure. It was far less invasive. It is the radical peri'ah procedure we find now practiced. This original circumcision is not found in the annals of Western medicine or practiced, nor should it be. It is the teaching of Apostle Paul that presided over the Christian view on circumcision. Apostle Paul explicitly denounced the practice, rejecting and condemning those who promoted circumcision to Christians. Paul gave us a heads-up and warned that the 'advocates' of circumcision were "false brothers". And provides us there was a religious aspect to this appearing to represent a blood sacrificial offering. We certainly can see this today with Jewish ritual circumcision, the Messisa or Metzitzah. It is only Americans that have been sold this deleterious procedure. Now, we have learned where all those sacrificed foreskins go. Is it a form of cannibalism? It's Sick.
