Me and my buddies started at 8 yo or so cleaning up the job sites for my buddys dad who was a home builder. By 15 we were pouring garage and basement floors, pole barns, driveways, sidewalks, patios and porch caps. Ralph was paying us 10 bucks an hour. That was in 1980. Big money. All cash. No working papers. Didnt need to work during school year and that left time for my studies and hockey/football. Saved my money and bought my 67 Camaro. Still have it. The chicks digged it.
Even though I have a degree in engineering I still pour concrete.
