Remdesivir, developed by Gilead Sciences, is sold under the brand name Veklury. From the manufacturer's website:
"Veklury has not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for any use. In the United States, the FDA granted Veklury an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the treatment of hospitalized patients with severe COVID-19."
In other words, the manufacturer is protected from lawsuits. The FDA needs to be held accountable for granting EUA.
