Glad to be of some help. JDR was the richest man on planet earth. His wealth measured today would be around 340 billion. He was an devout christian in his later years, and biographies I have read seem to say that in his later years he was attempting to buy his way into god's good graces out of a sense of guilt because of his unscrupulous business practices. He ruined many a man in his pursuit of wealth. I don't know if this was propaganda to cast JDR as a benevolent character or not.

On a side note, you ever read Ted Kasenki's manifesto. I just read it, and it makes some sense on the human motivation level, what lead a man to acquire more and more wealth. He was clearly a committed nut though. Imagine what he would think of today's technology.
