The idea is ancient by modern standards, recall reading 40 years back how cash archaic and soon... everyone would use a card to pay for everything they need. Note the language, what you need (determined by a faceless 3rd party which now likely AI) and not what you want. It was chilling even then.
The part I cannot get a handle on is that dark money so important to deep state cabal operations. Drugs, weapons, human trafficking, all work because currency anonymous. That will not go away, cannot go away, so how will payments occur? Will it be a larger Hunter Biden model, crappy art for big payoffs? Dunno but it's interesting to consider.
Am also curious how it will resist to disruption? The USA has a creaking power infrastructure and ridiculously easy to impair internally or externally. The northeast blackouts of 2003 simultaneously took out 250+ powerplants over software error not malicious code insertions. Then look at mechanical disruption and it becomes even easier as you don't need to work inside the grid system. Perhaps disruption is the desired outcome to usher in even more draconian controls?
