I think that was what the 13th amendment was supposed to entail, "Title of Nobility Amendment" (TONA). It was supposed to strip US citizens (including politicians) of their citizenship if they accepted a title of nobility from an emperor, king, or any foreign power. That amendment is actually still pending from when it was introduced in the early 1800s. The War of 1812 then consequently the Civil War had all to do with the integration of the Federal Reserve in the US and Britain ensuring that TONA didnt become official. TONA wouldve ended most if not all compromised politicians.
