the big problem is no accountability for the actions of the riot police. Here in the UK it was law that a shoulder number must be visible, therefore if a riot officer did something like this on video, he'd be traceable and held accountable

I attended many protests and came up against riot police multiple times in my youth, without fail they had always removed the shoulder numbers, knowing that they can do what they want I saw many acts of extreme violence on innocent people including myself- commanding officer should then be held accountable for this occuring but they never are!
