I cannot read the likes of the garbage on these sites anymore without wanting to scream about the fucking obvious, stultifying doublespeak about 'net zero' and the sheer affrontery with which it's all presented like something we were all asked about and voted for. And jeez look when all the councils signed up to it - November 2020. When I found out ours was on there, I rang as many of the 'Insdependent' councillors as I could asking why we were on there and why there'd been no consultation. Pretty much all of them said they hadn't even heard of it, and I've heard nothing back from any of them since. 🔥🔥🤬🤬
The other day I walked past a branch of Barclays Bank and they had a sign in the window saying that "We are proud to announce that from 1 April, Barclays will no longer fund any fossil fuel projects". Who the fuck asked you not to, and why are you gloating about it like self fart-sniffers? And why in a certain branch of supermarket are there the big hideous PEDOTRANS flags just randomly hung up, with no commentary or 'reason' as to why they are there at this particular time?
They really are, as I predicted, trying to cast as wide a net as possible around 2023 because they know 2024 isn't going to be the walk in the park for them that they originally planned for.
