People own guns, carry guns and shoot them. But guns are inanimate objects. Pit bulls running free in the street is another story. I believe and am comfortable with guns for an informed and stable owner.

If you think about it, dying by dog contributes to depopulation.

Also a person severely maimed may not lead a normal life.

Being disfigured may be a factor in finding a mate. (It shouldn't be, but it may be). That will contribute to less reproduction.

I saw a pit bull climbing over a cyclone fence like a ladder. This inspection should be done at intervals to ensure it's housing is safe and adequate.
