Cooking corner - jarring
Just peel and mince garlic, lemongrass, ginger, curcuma… and store these bits in a jar and complete with oil.
Whenever you cook something special, take a spoon of this (ensure the rest stay in the oil as air contact might otherwise oxidize it) and blend it.
You may also do it with herbs… Whatever you like: I have a jar like the one I described and one with blended red peppers.
I usually do it when I get a nice discount on lemongrass or curcuma as these don’t come cheap where I live and also because curcuma will make your fingers yellow for a few days, so you might as well peel more in advance.
