IMO: you don't stop being a CIA asset. also i imagine it was a case of being starstruck by the glamour of being whisked away to this private island with " no laws " they're either duped into having sex with a 15 or 16 year old when they're really impaired by drugs and alcohol OR they are really sick and the idea of letting their demons out in this place get the better of them. I imagine sometime after the event, after not suspecting anything a video is sent to them explaining the crime they've committed and how they are going comply with all future demands from whomever sent it.
