Have a relative who was sucked into that when she was 17 and yes, they tried to pimp her out (or guilt trip her into pimping herself out for success) so she fled the state and moved back "home". She had her problems but, she was and still is a free spirited, tough cookie when it came to personal boundaries. heh. They are creepy, they kept sending her mom's house pamphlets and stuff addressed for years and years after to her daughter, they will stalk you when you leave. (this was 30years ago or so now.)
