I am wondering if the "bear with 3 ribs" prophecy in Daniel could refer to Russia. Remember, the whole "whore of babylon" in Revelations is supposed to be an empire that "sitteth on many waters".

So the animals coming up out of the sea in Daniel could represent nations departing the Beast system. The "3 ribs" in the bear's (Russia) mouth could be Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk, bones stripped from the carcass of ukraine
