It's just my opinion, but I think the numbers are growing again. I was speaking with a group of Catholic priests who were talking about the presence of demons, witch covens, etc. and how such instances are exploding across communities.

My personal theory is that people are yearning for something to belong to due to the isolation caused by technology and culture and total loss of national identity... and they are easy prey for demonic forces, and they are captured in subtle ways. God is pushed out of their mind so easily when their basic need for meaning and belonging are fulfilled, although they don't realize that such meaning and belonging provided by demons are fake. We are human, after all.
