I can prove your teeth argument wrong with a single image. I don't know the 100% truth about this image but I am assuming they have shaved his teeth down to have veneers placed on top. You can find images that look similar if you search for that procedure. It was likely from damage from doing crack, but the crack didn't make his teeth into cleanly shaven pegs.
