Hi fren. I was diagnosed with stage 3 prostate cancer, which turned out to have spread to my seminal vesicles, around 5 1/2 years ago.
During January and February of 2018 I received 37 'fractions' of radiotherapy (which, apparently, is the most a human can be given during their lifetime) and was subsequently given the all clear by my oncologist.
I still have a couple of long-term side effects, the most notably being radiation proctitis, but at least I came through the other end mostly unscathed.
Anyway, I really hope that your cousin pulls through this - after my experience I like to think that most things are possible, medically, in this day and age.
Best wishes
