Brands. It is exactly what they are and rife with bad actors. Yes, I agree they need to dissolve, but I think some other form of party lines would be established. I almost wish public office was like the process of being selected for Jury duty, but then I also feel that could be easily corrupted as well.

Edit: This would be for any public office...the candidates would be narrowed down by a process similar to Jury duty. Then the public would vote on those particular candidates -- however, each candidate would be a random selection of taxpayers, not voluntary. Results could go either way, I suppose.
