Back then, it was cute and fun and educational in a numbers and letters kind of way

I grew up back then. I watched it every day. I had younger siblings, I watched it every day with them since I babysat regularly. The second generation (kids, nieces, nephews) all got the same Sesame Street treatment.

Yes, it was cute. Yes, it was numbers. Yes, it wasn't as bad as it later became with regards to specific ideologies, but it was STILL all about trusting the people put in charge, especially government, teachers, doctors, scientists, etc., all of which are institutions that were put in place by Rockefeller et al to control the mind, body, and soul of every man, woman, and child on the planet.

People really don't appreciate how deep The Matrix really is.

I don't recall any political ideology entering the picture

It's not about "political ideology,' it's about who we look up to (trust the hierarchy), and why we make the choices that we do (economics, ethics, morality).

We are taught to sacrifice for "the greater good." Sacrificing for the greater good sounds so good, but we are taught that it is more important than our own Rights, needs, feelings, desires for our own life, etc. This is the training that is what is called upon to "get the vaccine to save granny," and other such programs that come later in life. This is how freedom of speech has "exceptions," and how gun control laws get passed. This training, from Sesame Street. This type of indoctrination was there from day one of Sesame Street, Electric Company, etc. (Really this training started long before Sesame Street, but PBS was a huge play in this type of programming.)

good parenting mitigates and neutralizes whatever else the world throws at your kid

Yes, and no.

When generation upon generation receives the same subtle training, the same morality and ethics, coming from the same source, then parents BECOME the problem, by reinforcing the same training in the children that they got themselves. These psyops are multi-generational. Yes, they get progressively worse, but they started long, long ago, all intending to get worse and worse until they lead into the "end goal," which would have, if not operating at "Warp Speed," seemed a natural social progression.

As parents, we have no choice but to do the best we can, and no one here is to blame for indoctrinating their children to the Malthusian Utopia we are working towards except those running the show, but "good parenting" is not enough, when the parents are themselves the products of brainwashing.

And we have all been brainwashed.

It is what it is. Do what you can with what you have now.
