Can you find anywhere in Biblical Prophecy where it speaks of a "reprieve" of evil of any sort (similar to what the GAW promises) before the Great Tribulation?
EDIT: You know, now that I asked that question out loud, I just was reminded that the Antichrist will bring 'Peace" by signing a covenant "with the many," but will break that covenant in the middle of the Tribulation when he exalts himself in the 3rd Temple in Jerusalem announcing himself to be God.
"He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple, he will set up an abomination that causes desolation until the end that is decreed is poured out on him."
~ Daniel 9:27
Some believe that the "covenant with many" refers to a peace treaty that the Antichrist will make with Israel or other nations, while others interpret it symbolically as a false covenant or agreement. The "middle of the 'seven'" is often understood as a period of three and a half years, or 42 months, which is associated with the Great Tribulation.
The idea that the Antichrist will exalt himself in the Third Temple in Jerusalem and declare himself to be God is derived from passages such as 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, which states:
"Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God."
