I have successfully completed DRS for GME, AMC, RUM, and BB holdings, and I'm now working the retirement IRAs and moving the DWAC to transfer agent. Fidelity is pretty quick and reliable. Do a transfer into Fidelity from other brokerage to avoid their shenanigans on slow-walking DRS.
Transfer assets to Fidelity (whole account if needed), and then DRS from Fidelity to transfer agent. Do a small batch transfer of 10, 25, or 50 shares initially if you want to verify the transfer process.
Do in multiple batches if needed. Shares should show up as "book" at transfer agent. Hold in "cash" and not "margin" at brokerage unless you are adding to the position. Brokerage will have to move shares being transferred to cash from margin prior to DRS step, so don't margin call yourself and check to make sure "House Surplus" is adequate if you have some positions on margin.
