1. Boat-and-Horizon test.
Using a 20x or more telescope, watch a BOAT float away into the distance. Watch for more than 20 minutes, you will see that the boat is DROPPING off over the horizon.
2. Plane-and-Horizon test.
Using a 20x or more telescope, watch a PLANE fly into the distance. Watch for more than 5 minutes, you will see that the plane is DROPPING off over the horizon.
3. High altitude flight test.
On a clear sky day, take a commercial flight between 35,000 and 50,000 feet. The sphere of the earth is increasingly obvious within this altitude range.
