I'm going to datefag for a moment and say that it looks like the "hot timeline" for this current war (Revolutionary War #2) runs from November 8, 2016 to July 4, 2026 which would be about 9.8 years (9 years and 8 months). And yes 9.8 years = 9+8 = 17.
This is based on the already announced 250th anniversary yearlong celebration (1776-2026) that Trump has been talking about in his policy speeches. Apparently it is supposed to start in December 2025, so one could argue it is around 9 years in length using end of 2025 as end of "hot" operations. This would be in-line with the Soviet Union takedown operation which was also largely conducted "in the background".
