I knew, most of my friends and acquaintances knew. Even before data and information began to roll out from various information/news sources, even before doctors and scientists began to voice alarm over what they were beginning to see/discover, we knew. There were ALWAYS tell tale signs that just didn't fit, just didn't feel right, just didn't make sense.
They proclaimed a disastrous "pandemic", but there were never any bodies in the streets, there were never any hospitals overflowing with more of the sick and dying than they could handle. Military mercy ships lay empty, special emergency treatment tents were devoid of use. I never knew of anyone that actually died from this "killer" virus. There were those who died in the hospital, but never at home, that to me was curious.
In a true pandemic with a deadly disease, one doesn't have to be compelled to seek any treatment available. There is no need to tease people into taking the "cure" by bribing them with cash, lottery tickets, or doughnuts. This too I thought curious.
It was perfectly safe to shop in a major corporate business, with hundreds of other patrons roaming the store, but small businesses were declared to be life threatening to the public. "Protests" that resulted in burning buildings and destroyed property were acceptable, but attending church or social gatherings was discouraged or forbidden. These things too aroused my curiosity.
They asked for 6 weeks in order to bring the ravaging disease under control, and then, it never ended. No one can miscalculate by that margin. Another curious happening.
Going to a restaurant involved being greeted by bouncers at the door who demanded that you must wear a mask in order to enter and eat. The guest would walk to a table that was generally about 50' away, taking fewer than 10 seconds. Immediately upon being seated the diner, and his party, would remove their masks and sit for the next 1 or 2 hours surrounded by a hundred or so other people who also were maskless. This I thought bizarre.
They didn't want to know.
