I can appreciate your position. It is not an easy topic to dig into and find good research that does not have some bias attached to it.

I am not talking about smoking. That is completely a non starter for all reasons you stated. But to study nicotine properly it has to be done apart from tobacco. That research on nicotine shows that alone without additives, nicotine has not been shown to be the addictive substance that people think it is. This is according to the tobacco industry's own internal documents that were forced out during the tobacco trials. Like all good companies wanting to make money and increase sales, they had to figure out how to make their products addictive because the untreated natural tobacco by itself was not going to increase sales. They added substances to their products that make them highly addictive - pyrazines. The FDA is now ordering tobacco companies to lower the nicotine content. WHY? Is that somehow going to make a safer and less addictive product? Hell no because nicotine was never the problem to begin with.

But that's okay. Each one to their own. I was only offering a suggestion that has helped some people without taking up smoking. It is only using the pure unadulterated nicotine. Indigenous Americans used tobacco for medicine - especially snake bite. Hmmm? That little factoid caught my attention. I do use nicotine myself sometimes when I am working on a big project that requires a lot of focus. Other than that, I don't use it nor do I notice any alterations in energy, thinking, etc. There is a family member that has severe ADHD that does not want to take prescription drugs. It seems to help them stay focused. I have some friends also that are using it to treat their long Covid symptoms. Nothing else they have done has helped them. I was actually quite surprised.

I used to smoke years ago so like you I was hesitant. We have been so indoctrinated about tobacco for so long it is understandable. But, like I said, this is just the nicotine that is produced from a non industry source.

Be well and I like you attitude about putting things in the Almighty's hands - as we all should. God bless you.
