Ok, so, feel free to research this, but the original Khazars were Jews who were "freed" (read kicked out) from Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar and sent back to what was by that time Judea and Palestine. Time had already conquered lower "Israel" while the Babylonians held Judea. When Rome conquered lower Israel, they renamed it Palestine in honor of the original Philistine tribes (Canaan/Phoenician) when the Hebrews flooded the area after the Exodus.

However, they didn't all go back to Judea and Palestine. The "lost tribe" of Israel, the tribe of Dan went north and east thru the Caucasus and into Eastern Europe eventually settling in the area of Rus (modern day Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, and Belarus). They eventually made their way thru the rest of Europe, bringing their Babylonian Jewish Talmud with them. This is why the "Jews" have been booted from over 100 countries throughout their history. It's not so much that they were "Jews," it's that they were pracitcing Babylonian Mysticism and once The People figured it out, they were forced to flee and later blame those countries of being "anti-Semitic." That excuse has been used since the time of Nebuchadnezzar.
