Sumerian stories were heavily influenced by the sons of Noah (Shem, Ham and Japheth). Those sons witnessed the destruction of the Watchers (“Beings not from here”) before the Flood described in Genesis 6 and the book of Enoch. These non-earthly Beings had giant offspring (Nephilim), and were most likely the objects of worship in the ancient Sumerian religions.
