I don't think so. If that were true then horses that are given Iver every month their entire lives would not thrive, but in fact, Iver helps their health in many ways overall. Including keeping flies from laying eggs in wounds, which is a big deal. Plain ivermectin has no extra medicinal or chemical ingredient that is harmful.
