Well some oils can be used neat (not diluted) but most oils benefit from mixing them with a carrier oil at least 1:1 because the oils evaporate fairly quickly and a carrier oil helps to slow down the process. Essential oil safety is a must know if you are going to use oils. Some oils must be diluted 4:1 ratio (4 drops carrier to 1 drop oil) because they are hot oils...ie. oregano oil. So some you cannot put in your mouth...hot oils are hot....Oils can be diffused, used topically or internally...the olfactory nerve endings send the oil molecules to the amygdala...the most primitive part of the brain. Otherwise the oils operate vibrationally....much like homeopathics do to target an organ or system...quite interesting really. I actually diffuse peppermint oil when I drive long distances to stay alert...very effective...I have a car diffuser... Give the oils a try I will check the homeopathics...it is pretty detailed....
