Yes the barriers to entry are low, almost non-existant. That does not make it note worthy. Large numbers of people conduct many activities that require little talent, but are not true sports. Rugby, which requires about the same amount of equipment is a sport. You can use your hands. Maybe they could teach soccer players that it’s OK to use your hands and physicality (collision between players) is a great part of the game.
