Well...that certainly gives me some areas to highlight...in terms of taking supplements...you always start with a good daily multi and then you add according to your needs...I take over 20 supplements a day and some I have taken for probably 50 years...such as a good B complex...because I know my body needs that daily water soluble B complex to function well...do you know your vitamin D level??? THAT is a major vitamin that needs to be at about 60ng/ml...my health improved tremendously when I went from about 25ng/ml to 60ng/ml...

I have been highlighting several vitamins and minerals...and all different alternative treatments...I have read a lot about the thyroid and it is certainly something that affects many people...even those who have great bloodwork...in reading about iodine...I see where taking iodine can balance a low or a high thyroid...I have some but I have not been taking it regularly...but I shared it with all my kids...one daughter has celiac and actually has had thyroid issues issues associated with that....

The whole cascade of hormones starts in the brain and flows downward...each interacting and affecting each other...I know the adrenal fatigue is associated with stress...which probably makes sense...that is exactly what the B vitamins would improve...nerve function and well-being. Because B vitamins, as well as C are both water soluble and are destroyed by stress it is always good to supplement with them to help counteract the stress...the body throws off whatever it doesn't use so there is no overdose issue...

Sometimes when doctors tell us everything is normal remember that all testing and all numbers just reflect the "average" of everything....your needs may be above or below average so the government criteria may be meaningless for you....this is why when we doctor ourselves the most important thing is that we know our bodies and how efficiently it is working...I don't need a doctor to tell me what supplements to take...my body tells me and if I listen to it and any problems are corrected I am better off for it...I personally ALWAYS look to alternative treatments and use no medications ever for anything....

Sorry to have written a book to respond...but there is just so much wonderful information out there to help us all navigate this crazy thing we call living...

A good source of medical testing from home is Life Extension...
