Interesting analogy. Read all of Frank Herbert's Dune series and the entire prequel books that came later written by Brian Herbert. A fantastic series and a warning to us on many levels, like the horrors of axlotle tanks used by the Facedancers, seems prophetic to what is happening in some biolabs. One thing to never forget about Dune is that microchip and AI tech is forbidden. It is the AI tech that had first taken control and enslaved the people of the earth and other worlds that they colonized, thousands of years earlier until mankind finally freed themselves and destroyed all AI tech and banned it afterwards. That is why spice, a natural substance produced in a spice mass by young giant worms on the fictitious planet of Dune, is used to push the boundaries of humanity to abilities similar to computers and AI tech. Namely Navigators and Mentats as examples. The amazing thing here is that Frank Herbert never knew anything about computers and AI as we know them today. Nonetheless, those were great books and very prophetic. My two cents.
