In essence, what we are witnessing taking place around us is what happens whenever the manifested light of the Almighty is not present - it is paganism - in whatever form it takes - man made philosophies or outright worship of the dark side. But even in what appears to be darkness, the hand of the light is still there - although more concealed. Without His light that brings with it godly morality and ethics, the darkness appears to rule. Look at Europe and what is happening there. Real Christianity and real Judaism are being pushed out (no hate please).

Man was created with an innate drive to reach for something higher than himself. If the Almighty Creator is not the highest of what man aspires towards, then what is left to take its place? The same ungodly forces that ruled before authentic Christianity came on to the scene that drove the darkness away. The beginning of Romans spells this out perfectly.

Western Civilization rose to the heights that it did because of the Bible and the unchanging foundations of justice and morality that it brings. Remove that, and society reverts back to forms of godless paganism and the worship of man driven by selfish ego - something other than the ONE that is deserving of our worship and obedience. All light flows from Him. Even the darkness ultimately is turned to light to accomplish HIs will and desire.

We are in a war between light and dark in this physical world where both of these seemingly opposites are manifested - for our learning on this journey of our soul. We know that in the end, light will win over the darkness and all will be brought into unity of that light. Until that day, continue to be soldiers of the light no matter how hard the darkness seems to be fighting against us. This is our test. We are citizens of a heavenly kingdom waiting for the arrival of the King. Occupy until He comes.
