Look I'm not defending the guy or do I think he's got a chance against Trump. I'm just highlighting what may be a weakness in an argument.

Even your point above is a bit soft. Trump did provide his views for 35 years and they leaned left up until the past few years.

I voted for Trump and still support him completely but I wouldn't be winning anyone over with the "Trump spent 35 years talking about his views...." argument to bolster my reasoning.
