I have 3 possibilities in my mind.

One, I got it wrong and because I wrote this from memory it is entirely possible.

Two, I am correct but it has been scrubbed.

Three, the local news coverage of a now scrubbed story of a chopper explosion was just a bullshit cover story to explain to the local residents the mid-air explosions going on during the f-15/Q400's incursion.

I have checked and rechecked and cannot find the incident, however I have had other posters in different threads on this subject confirm they recall the news story. However, anonymous assurances mean nothing.

Three, there was a news chopper crash on Mar 18 2014 and perhaps during the fervor of theories flying around 5 years ago someone posted that crash as connected and people ran with it without verifying the date.
