He raised up a king, Josiah, who purged the nation of all evil. Josiah tore down every idol, slaughtered all of the idolators, and renewed the covenant with God. It was the greatest revival the nation had ever seen. But after Josiah died, Judah returned to its evil ways and the nation fell within only 20 years.
