This comes at an odd time as a high ranking LDS Church official (top 15 in the Church, next in line as church President) M. Russell Ballard (no relation) literally just chose to publicly censure Tim and deny claims he apparently made about M. Russell and the Mormon Church’s involvement and support of Tim’s foundation and efforts. Certainly won’t bode well for him politically in Utah, and while one should never make false claims like that in order to bolster any cause I found M. Russell and the Church’s aggressive public denouncement of him very odd. Ok you weren’t involved but that was a super intense and personal public censure of a man who, whatever his faults might be, is making a huge difference in arguably the mist important battle being waged on the planet right now. Tim is Mormon, Utahns are still a majority Mormon state. They’re all MAGA and many are big into Q and red hot about the child trafficking issue but this will certainly give many of them pause come election time. They tend to put a lot of faith in their high ranking church leaders’ opinions. Nearly nobody in Utah was getting the vax until the church came out and told them to. A strange story indeed.
